Many people come to our office to get their teeth cleaned.  If your mouth is free from periodontal disease (gum infection)  you will most likely need a Prophylaxis which is a cleaning performed  on a healthy mouth!!

Many of our patients praise Kayla, our hygienist, after their appointment.    It's great to have that "Fresh Mouth and Smooth Teeth Feeling" after having your teeth cleaned.

Periodontal disease (gum infection) is treated in our office non-surgically with scaling and root planing (deep cleaning).  Most of our patients are able to have this treatment done injection free  with a topical anesthetic called oraqix.     

Education is the best form of prevention, therefore we teach our patients how to take care of their teeth and gums at home using the Rotadent, a plaque removal system that is so much more than an electric toothbrush. 

Periodonal Cleanings are perfomed on patients who have been previously diagnosed with periodontal disease (gum infection).  Typically the infection has been treated and the patient needs to be seen more than twice a year to keep the periodontal disease under control.  

Dr. Grumet believes that best form of prevention is patient education.  We teach our patients how to take care of their teeth and gums at home using the Rotadent  , a plaque removal system that is so much more than an electric tooth brush.

The best results from teeth whitening or bleaching are obtained from custom whitening trays made by your dentist.   This is what we offer in our office.   Dr. Grumet will make an impression or mold of your teeth and will fabricate a whitening tray that will only fit in your mouth.  This custom fit will allow the whitening gel to stay in the tray longer than "over the counter" systems thus achieving a better result.

We also offer three different strengths of whitening materials so that you can choose the one to fit your lifestyle.

Fluoride is not only for kids anymore!! It is an important step for many people to help prevent cavities.   Many older adults need in office fluoride treatments to prevent decay around existing restorations and receded gum areas.  This is quick, easy, and painless!!

If you want to keep your older dental work in top shape, a fluoride treatment at your next hygiene visit may be for you!!

We can place beautiful tooth colored (white) fillings in your teeth whether you are replacing old ugly silver fillings or placing a new filling due to new decay.   Dr. Grumet's artistic skills will have your teeth looking like new again.

Crowns or Caps are coverings for teeth that surround the entire tooth structure as opposed to veneers that are placed on just the front of a tooth. Crowns can be used for various reasons:

Sometimes a tooth has been damaged so that the nerve in the root of the tooth becomes infected. Root Canal Therapy can be done so that you can keep your own tooth.  Most of the time the patient has little or no discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Grumet can usually help you if your tooth has one or two canals.
